Purpose : Megamentin-625 Tablet is used to treat bacterial infections in pets, affecting the skin, soft tissues, lungs, ears, urinary tract, and nasal sinuses. It does not work for viral infections like the flu or the common cold.
How It Works :
This tablet contains two medicines: Amoxycillin and Clavulanic acid. Amoxycillin kills bacteria by breaking down their outer layer, while Clavulanic acid prevents bacteria from destroying the effectiveness of Amoxycillin. Together, they effectively eliminate bacterial infections.
Dosage :
Follow the veterinarian's prescription for the correct dose. It’s important to complete the entire course of medication, even if your pet feels better, to avoid antibiotic resistance.
Side Effects :
Common side effects include vomiting, nausea, and diarrhea. If these occur or you notice any other symptoms, consult a vet.
Precautions :
Inform your vet if your pet has allergies, kidney, or liver problems. Do not self-medicate, as it may lead to antibiotic resistance. Safe for children if prescribed by a vet, with dosage based on weight and infection severity.
Storage :
Store in a cool, dry place away from sunlight.

Include fiber-rich foods in your pet’s diet to help restore healthy gut bacteria. Consider giving probiotics after the course of antibiotics to maintain gut health. Avoid high-fat meals and alcohol while your pet is on this medication.
